Mecmetrix Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are and where this policy applies
This policy explains how SIA “NewCognity”, registration no. 40203771131, uses cookies and browser local storage on the Mecmetrix public website and Service. A cookie is a small file stored by a website in a browser. Local storage lets the browser retain a choice on a device without automatically sending it with every request.

2. Categories and legal basis
- Necessary: enables sign-in, sessions, security, language selection, and other functions expressly requested by the User. These cannot be disabled through the Mecmetrix preference tool because the Service cannot operate securely without them.
- Analytics: helps us understand website visits and use. Google Analytics loads only after freely given analytics consent.
- Marketing: may be used to measure or personalise advertising only if such a tool is configured and the User consents. No marketing cookies are active on Mecmetrix domains as of the last-updated date shown on this page. Any future integration will be added to this policy before activation.
Necessary technology is used to provide the Service requested by the User, perform the contract, and protect legitimate Service-security interests. Analytics and marketing technologies are used only with consent.

Depending on authentication settings, an additional first-party cookie may be created for security or retained sign-in. Its purpose is always necessary account functionality.
4. Third-party pages
When paying or administering a subscription through Stripe Checkout or the Stripe customer portal, the User moves to a Stripe-operated page. Stripe may use security, fraud-prevention, and payment cookies on its own domain under its notices. The Mecmetrix preference tool does not control those cookies. Google Analytics cookies are not set on the Mecmetrix domain until analytics consent is given.
5. Choosing and withdrawing consent
On the first visit, you may accept all optional categories, reject them, or choose individually. Rejecting optional categories does not restrict core functionality. Change your choice at any time through the persistent “Cookie settings” control in the footer or cookie icon. When analytics consent is withdrawn, Mecmetrix stops loading Google Analytics and attempts to remove known first-party Google Analytics cookies.
You may also delete or block cookies in browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies or local storage may prevent sign-in, preference storage, or other parts of the Service from working.
6. Changes and contact
We will update this policy when adding a cookie or provider or materially changing a purpose. We will request the required consent before activating a new optional category. The current text and last-updated date are available on this page.
